ACT Expo announced that PlusAI has joined Daimler Truck North America and Penske Transportation Solutions as a presenting sponsor for ACT Expo 2026, which will take place May 4–7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. ACT Expo is the largest fleet technology expo and conference in North America.
Organizers said the addition of PlusAI reflects the growing role of artificial intelligence, automation, software-defined vehicles, and digital systems in commercial fleet operations, with these technologies increasingly influencing cost, safety, uptime, and long-term competitiveness. As digital tools are introduced at a faster pace, fleets are seeking clarity on how emerging technologies fit into vehicle platforms, operating models, and capital planning cycles.
Technologies gaining attention across the industry include advanced telematics and geolocation systems, connected vehicle platforms and V2X communication, smart camera systems, connected trailers, AI-powered analytics, predictive maintenance, advanced driver-assistance systems, autonomous technologies, and over-the-air vehicle updates. According to ACT Expo organizers, these tools are already delivering gains across diesel and clean fuel fleets through improved fuel efficiency, enhanced safety performance, smarter routing, and predictive maintenance, while also supporting higher levels of automation in the future.
“Autonomous trucks have the potential to usher in a new era for the trucking industry, one defined by AI-enabled safety and efficiency,” said David Liu, CEO of PlusAI. Liu said PlusAI is working with OEMs to integrate autonomous driving technology into factory-built vehicles to support safe and scalable real-world fleet operations, adding that ACT Expo provides a forum for fleets to explore how digital technologies can improve safety, productivity, and sustainability.
ACT Expo 2026 will place a strong emphasis on digital transformation, automation, and artificial intelligence as technologies become core to daily fleet operations. This focus will be reflected throughout the conference, including peer-led sessions dedicated to automation, AI, and software-defined transportation. Featured sessions include The Virtual Driver Revolutionizing Trucking and Logistics, which will include leaders from PlusAI, Aurora, Kodiak, Waabi, and TORC, as well as AI in Action: What’s Real and What Fleets Can Use Today, featuring executives from Aperia Technologies and Revvo Technologies.
“These sessions underscore the convergence happening across the industry as connected systems, software-defined platforms, and AI-enabled tools become a foundation for fleet readiness, efficiency, and safety,” said Erik Neandross, president of TRC’s Clean Transportation Solutions team. Neandross added that ACT Expo provides fleets with insight into how these systems fit into vehicle product roadmaps, what infrastructure is required for successful deployment, and how they can deliver measurable environmental and economic returns.
In addition to its technology programming, ACT Expo has opened nominations for its annual Fleet Awards, including a new Digital Technology Innovation Leader award. Nominations are open through January 30, 2026. Registration for ACT Expo 2026 is now open, with value rates available through February 6, 2026.
