ACT Expo is ready to kick the fall event season into high gear, whether you interests lay in electrification, automation, or implementation.

Starting on August 30, ACT Expo will be featuring sessions for every weight class and form of vehicle transportation, from school buses to semi, and everything in between. Deploying electric commercial trucks seems to be closer to becoming a reality than ever before, and the North American Council for Freight Efficiency is kicking off its Run on Less – Electric three-week electric truck technology demonstration. NACFE’s Mike Roeth, Dave Schaller, and Rick Mihelic will be joined by RMI’s Jessie Lund to moderate a highly interactive workshop that will include innovative fleets such as Schneider, PepsiCo and NFI to discuss solutions to advance zero-emissions goods movement.

The electrification trend will be further examined on Tuesday during the “Electrifying the Last Mile: An Opportunity Across Weight Classes” session. Characterized by short trips to final destinations, the last mile presents a significant opportunity for advanced technology and clean fuel innovation and deployment in transportation industry.

ACT Expo will be featuring sessions for every weight class and form of vehicle transportation.

Autonomous vehicle technologies will take center stage on Wednesday, a fast-moving and rapidly developing sector. The next five years promises to see incredible growth, with thousands of autonomous vehicles predicted to be operational in this time frame. Attendees will gain insight into the technological, legal, social and business advancements that will be needed to ultimately achieve full autonomy for applications as diverse as last-mile delivery, ports, and over-the-road trucking.

Covering the entire weight class spectrum, the Light- and Medium-Duty Vehicle Summit and the Ultra Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicle Summit will cover advanced battery electric, smart charging, and state-of-the-art technologies. Covering the state and future of electric vehicles and fuel cell adoption and implementation, attendees will get a comprehensive update from the leading OEMS, end user fleet operators, and other industry experts during both summits.
