Registration has opened for ACT Expo 2027, which returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center May 17–20 with a conference agenda centered on lowering fleet operating costs, improving performance, and making informed investments in commercial vehicle technology. Early bird registration is available through December 11, 2026, along with two new registration offers for fleet and shipper attendees.
The 2027 program will address diesel and alternative fuels, AI and connected fleet systems, autonomous vehicles, safety technology, energy infrastructure, and vehicle efficiency. Designed for professionals in operations, maintenance, technology, finance, IT, safety, and sustainability, the agenda reflects the range of departments involved in fleet purchasing and operational decisions.
The emphasis on operating costs comes as fuel prices continue to pressure fleet budgets. U.S. on-highway diesel prices reached a weekly average of $6.53 per gallon in September 2026, underscoring the importance of technologies that can reduce fuel consumption and improve fleet economics.
“With fuel and operating costs continuing to climb, and the technological complexity of today’s commercial vehicles ever-increasing, fleet leaders can’t afford to stand still,” said Erik Neandross, founder of ACT Expo. “Every investment decision matters, and understanding which technologies can deliver real savings and operational improvements has never been more critical.”
Developed with input from ACT Expo’s Fleet Planning Committee, whose members collectively manage hundreds of thousands of commercial vehicles, and other industry advisory groups, the conference will focus on practical fleet applications and measurable operational results.
Among the subjects on the agenda are advancements in diesel technology, aerodynamics, vehicle right-sizing, telematics, and AI-enabled fleet management. Sessions will examine how connected vehicle data and predictive technologies can improve maintenance planning, asset utilization, safety, and uptime.
Autonomous vehicle programming will explore early commercial deployments and what those operations are revealing about safety, productivity, workforce impacts, and the potential to scale the technology.
The agenda will also examine how fleets are evaluating diesel, natural gas, electric, hybrid, and hydrogen powertrains for different operating requirements. Discussions will address fuel availability, infrastructure access, and the costs associated with renewable diesel, biodiesel, natural gas, renewable natural gas, hydrogen, and propane.
Fleet economics will remain a central theme, with sessions examining total cost of ownership, vehicle-to-mission matching, deployment costs, and measurable return on investment. Other discussions will address changing vehicle and emissions requirements and the implications for purchasing, maintenance, and replacement cycles.
For fleets evaluating electrification, the program will cover commercial charging infrastructure, temporary and megawatt charging solutions, energy management, utility coordination, and technologies intended to address infrastructure challenges.
Safety programming will focus on advanced driver assistance systems, AI-enabled safety tools, connected vehicle technologies, and the use of fleet data to reduce operational risk. The conference will include real-world fleet case studies, executive perspectives, technical workshops, and sector-specific discussions.
Beyond the conference sessions, the ACT Expo exhibit hall will open May 18–19, featuring more than 400 exhibitors and sponsors and over 200 advanced commercial vehicles. Attendees will be able to explore medium- and heavy-duty trucks, commercial vans, buses, and off-road equipment alongside technologies for fleet management, vehicle efficiency, safety, automation, alternative fuels, and charging infrastructure.
The ACT Expo Ride & Drive will provide opportunities to experience advanced commercial vehicles firsthand, including their handling, performance, safety features, and driver comfort. Manufacturer representatives will also be available to discuss range, maintenance, infrastructure requirements, and total cost of ownership.
For the second consecutive year, ACT Expo will offer continuing education credit opportunities for fleet professionals. Details on eligible 2027 sessions and workshops will be announced as they are finalized.
Two new registration offers are also being introduced. The Fleet & Shipper Team Package allows qualifying organizations that purchase two passes to receive additional team passes at no charge. A separate First-Time Fleet and Shipper Offer provides eligible participants with an opportunity to receive a complimentary pass.
ACT Expo 2027 is supported by presenting sponsors Daimler Truck North America, Penske Transportation Solutions, and Geotab.
Early bird registration is available through December 11, 2026. Attendees can explore the full program at actexpo.com/agenda and register at actexpo.com/register.
