Listen to this article:

With the industry advancing at a breakneck pace, GNA is once again reaching out to innovative leading fleets from around the country to offer “boots on the ground” insight into how clean fuels and technologies are being adopted now and in the future for the 2023 State of Sustainable Fleets.

Are you a fleet with real-world insights to share? You can offer the benefits, and challenges, you’ve experienced deploying clean technologies by completing this year’s fleet survey.

Results will inform the 2023 State of Sustainable Fleets Market Brief, which will debut at next year’s ACT Expo in 2023.

The perfect storm of historic incoming federal funding, an evolving regulatory landscape, and increasing corporate sustainability goals is making for a thrilling year for the industry. The fourth annual State of Sustainable Fleets report will once again analyze and interpret how these motivators are affecting the industry and how fleets are examining and adopting the abundant clean technologies readily available and those reaching production in the near future.

Key findings from the 2022 Market Brief show that fleets are not only piloting battery-electric vehicles, they are purchasing more and more of these available zero-emission vehicles. While hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are primarily in the testing phase for most manufacturers, many are ramping up development and will be moving their respective models into mass production.  Other notable findings include:

  • Nearly 85% of surveyed fleets that use propane, natural gas, BEVs, or fuel cell electric vehicles plan to increase their use.
  • For the next few years, public funding for clean fuels and vehicles will grow to nearly $20 billion across more than 230 programs annually.
  • A science-based target requires 80-100% fleet GHG emission cuts by 2050 that can only be met by combining efficiency, renewables, and near- or zero-emission vehicles.

Interested fleets can offer their insights into these and other developments by  taking  a short online survey, the results of which will be used to complete the 2023 Market Brief, which will be released on the main stage at the upcoming ACT Expo in Anaheim, California, May 1-4, 2023.

Every survey respondent can receive a complimentary Expo Hall Pass or $200 off full registration for the 2023 Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo. Plus, all survey participants can be entered to win one of two $500 Amazon gift cards or a complimentary ACT Expo Full Conference Pass. Courtesy admission passes and discounts cannot be applied to an existing registration and are non-transferable.
