In a move that underscores the growing convergence of commercial real estate and clean transportation, Clear Blue Commercial has partnered with Solaflect Energy to install three Apollo off-grid EV charging units at a West Sacramento property, marking the first deployment of the system in California.
The collaboration delivers fully solar-powered, off-grid EV charging and a scalable solution that eliminates the need for utility connections, trenching, or costly infrastructure upgrades.
“Solaflect is our clean commuting partner,” said Carolyn Pistone, Clear Blue Commercial President and Managing Director. “With sustainability as a core company value, we’re dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint and energy costs. Introducing three Apollo EV chargers is a natural part of that ongoing effort.”
Developed by Solaflect Energy, the Apollo solar-tracking system produces 40% more energy than fixed-panel arrays and can power the equivalent of over 60,000 miles of EV driving annually through four charging ports. Each Apollo operates entirely off-grid, combining solar generation, energy storage, and smart charging control into a single self-contained unit.
“What’s so rewarding about working with Clear Blue Commercial is supporting their commitment to lead by example,” said Rob Adams, COO of Solaflect Energy. “Off-grid charging shows how clean technology can make sustainability a real-world convenience, without the construction or permitting headaches that come with traditional infrastructure.”
The installation builds on Clear Blue Commercial’s long-term sustainability initiatives at the site. Since 2020, the company has implemented a 100,000-square-foot rooftop solar array and a complete LED lighting conversion, diverting over 3 million pounds of carbon and saving more than $1 million in energy costs.
The Apollo chargers add a new layer of environmental performance by supporting California’s rapidly expanding EV market while relieving strain on local electrical grids.
