Nominations are open for the 2027 ACT Expo Fleet Awards, the annual program recognizing fleets that have put cleaner vehicle and equipment technologies into daily operation. Submissions are due by 5 p.m. PT on Friday, Nov. 20, 2026, through the nomination portal.

Winners are recognized at ACT Expo, which runs May 17-20, 2027, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with the expo hall open May 18-19. The awards have honored fleet achievement since 2016, drawing winners from municipal government, private carriers, transit agencies, school districts, logistics providers, and off-road operators.

The 2027 program is organized around six categories. Digital Technology Innovation Leader recognizes fleets using artificial intelligence, telematics, automation, and analytics to improve safety, efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance. In it for the Long Haul honors organizations with a lifetime commitment to sustainable transportation. Leading Private Fleet covers private sector companies implementing advanced and sustainable technologies, while Leading Public Fleet recognizes government fleets deploying alternative fuels and advanced vehicle technologies. Leading Transit Fleet is for organizations advancing sustainable passenger transport, including buses, taxis, carsharing, and shuttles. Leading Off-Road Fleet covers fleets advancing sustainable equipment in ports, warehouses, agriculture, mining, construction, and related applications.

The 2026 class gives fleets a sense of what the program has recognized. DHL took Leading Global Fleet for operating more than 50,000 electric vehicles across more than 220 countries, including more than 150 heavy-duty electric vehicles at 80 North American locations. The City of Carson won Leading Public Fleet after growing its electric fleet from seven units to more than 43 and installing more than 160 public charging ports at civic sites. 4 GEN Logistics earned Leading Private Fleet for completing a transition to 79 zero-emission drayage trucks, 64 battery-electric and 15 hydrogen fuel cell, which logged more than 3 million miles and displaced more than 400,000 gallons of diesel in 2025. Nevoya was named Digital Technology Leader for building artificial intelligence-driven orchestration around a 40-truck electric Class 8 operation and reaching cost parity with diesel on comparable California service. YMX Logistics won Leading Off-Road Fleet after at least doubling its electric yard truck fleet across six states. The City of Long Beach took In It for the Long Haul for a 2,200-asset fleet in which renewable fuels now account for 60 percent of all fuel purchased.

Fleets that want to be considered for 2027 have until Nov. 20 to submit. Questions about the program go to Barbara Brentano at BBrentano@trccompanies.com.
