Electric delivery truck manufacturer Workhorse says its commercial electric vehicle fleet has now surpassed 20 million cumulative miles of real-world operation, a milestone the company says demonstrates the durability and operational readiness of battery-electric trucks in daily fleet service.

According to the company, more than 1,100 Workhorse trucks, buses, and shuttle vehicles operating in North America have collectively traveled more than 20 million miles while displacing roughly 2.3 million gallons of gasoline and preventing an estimated 45 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions.

The milestone reflects years of deployments across a range of duty cycles and environmental conditions, from high-temperature operations in the Southwest to winter service in Canada, providing a growing pool of real-world operational data for fleet operators evaluating electrification.

Workhorse’s electric vehicle portfolio is focused primarily on medium-duty delivery and vocational applications, including last-mile delivery step vans and cab chassis platforms used by parcel delivery companies, utilities, and municipal fleets. The company’s W56 platform, introduced in recent years, is designed specifically for last-mile delivery operations and offers configurations for step vans or chassis-cab vehicles used in multiple vocational applications.

The cumulative mileage milestone follows earlier benchmarks announced by the company as its electric fleet deployments expanded. In 2025, Workhorse reported that its earlier electric truck platforms had surpassed 10 million miles of operation, a figure that has now doubled as additional vehicles entered service.

Workhorse said the vehicles contributing to the 20-million-mile milestone have operated across a range of commercial applications, including parcel delivery routes and shuttle services, providing operational data that continues to inform future vehicle development.

The company is continuing to expand its electric truck portfolio following a merger with Motiv Electric Trucks aimed at strengthening its position in the North American medium-duty electric truck market.
