Suburban Propane released its 2025 SuburbanCares results this week, outlining a year of nationwide community engagement driven by employee volunteerism and partnerships with local and national nonprofit organizations. The company, a distributor of propane, renewable propane, renewable natural gas, fuel oil, natural gas, and electricity, said the initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting the communities where its employees live and work.
SuburbanCares activities in 2025 engaged more than 150 employee volunteers who contributed roughly 600 hours of community service across 20 U.S. communities. Volunteer projects spanned from Tallahassee, Florida, to Twin Falls, Idaho, and Silver City, New Mexico, as well as locations in Kentucky, California, Vermont, and Pennsylvania. Local teams selected their own nonprofit partners, which included organizations such as Second Harvest of the Big Bend, the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning, San Joaquin River Parkway & Conservation Trust, and the Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster, among others.
Suburban Propane also continued its national partnership with the American Red Cross, supporting disaster relief operations, emergency preparedness programs, and blood drives. Employees participated in a range of activities, including food distribution events, neighborhood improvement projects, educational programming, and veteran-support efforts.
“SuburbanCares reflects who we are as a company: an organization dedicated to service, compassion, and community,” said Nandini Sankara, vice president of marketing, brand strategy, Suburban Propane. “Our employees continue to lead with heart, and their generosity is what makes our impact possible. We are proud to support our longtime partners at the American Red Cross and to contribute to so many amazing local organizations that are making a difference every day.”
The company said these hands-on volunteer opportunities strengthen local relationships and help reinforce a positive workplace culture. As Suburban Propane looks to 2026, it plans to expand SuburbanCares activities and continue developing initiatives aimed at driving community impact nationwide.
