Gatik AI Inc. announced that it has become the first company in North America to operate fully driverless trucks at commercial scale, with its “freight-only” autonomous trucks completing daily deliveries on public roads for Fortune 50 retailers without a human driver or safety observer on board.

According to the company, its autonomous operations have generated approximately $600 million in contracted revenue while serving major logistics networks across multiple U.S. markets, including the Dallas–Fort Worth region of Texas, the Phoenix metro area in Arizona, and Northwest Arkansas. The deployments involve Gatik’s driverless 26- and 30-foot trucks running nearly 24 hours a day to move ambient, refrigerated, and frozen goods between distribution centers and retail locations, strengthening regional supply chains.

Gatik said its freight-only operations moved beyond pilot testing in mid-2025, completing 60,000 fully driverless orders without incident and logging more than 10,000 driverless miles on public roads on routes up to 400 miles. The company said this sustained commercial activity represents an unprecedented scale for autonomous trucking in the United States.

At the core of Gatik’s deployment is its third-generation autonomous system, Gatik Driver™, which combines advanced AI with purpose-built hardware to deliver scalable, high-frequency driverless performance in B2B logistics. Gatik said it conducted independent safety validation of critical elements of its safety assessment framework and worked with state and federal transportation agencies before launching its freight-only operations.

Gatik also highlighted its collaboration with Isuzu Motors Limited, integrating its Level 4 autonomous driving system with Isuzu’s medium-duty platforms to support current operations while preparing for future autonomous-ready vehicle programs. The company said it is now preparing to expand driverless operations into additional U.S. markets, helping retailers meet demand and addressing persistent driver shortages and delivery costs through autonomous technology.
